The
questions for the prelims and the final rounds will be based on Art & Culture (Cinema, Theatre, Music,
Literature, Dance, Fine Art).
Enigma
Prelims Round will be a written competition in which a team of two students
should participate. Six teams will be
selected for the final round. The selection list will be displayed on 16th
Jan on SPArC Notice Board and the Facebook page of SPArC. Selected teams
may also be informed through phone.
The final round will be
organized on 31st Jan at 11: 30 a.m. in Room No. 32.
JHANAK : Classical/Semi-classical Solo &
Folk Group Dance (Prelims)

A
performance should not take more than five minutes. Performance on a non-filmy
song will be preferred. The participants should bring their own CD or Pen drive
for their performance.
The final round for Jhanak will be
held on 26th Jan, Thursday from 1:00 p.m. onwards at Centre stage.
SUR SANGAT
: Audition Round Classical, Folk,
Ghazal, Sufi, Filmy, Western Singing

Sursangat
will be an individual event. Participants have to sing the ‘mukhda’ and one
‘antra’ with instrument in the audition round. Instruments (Tabla &
Harmonium only) and accompanists will be provided by the college for the Classical,
Sufi, Ghazal, Folk & Filmy categories. For Western category the
participants have to bring their own instruments (maximum two instruments
only). One participant can participate in not more than two categories. Five to six participants in each category
will be selected for the final round. The final round will be held on 31st
Jan (Classical, Folk & Ghazal) at
1:00 p.m. and 4th Feb (Western,
Filmy, Sufi) at 11:30 a.m. The participants of the final round should
not take more than four minutes for their performance. Classical, Folk, Sufi & Ghazals
belonging to films are strictly prohibited.
ADAKARI :

All
the three categories (Skit, Mime & Dumb Charade) are team events whereas
Mono-Act is an individual participation event. A team consisting of minimum 5
and maximum 8 participants can participate in Skit and Mime whereas a team of
two participants can participate in the Dumb Charade category. Maximum 8
minutes can be taken by a team of skit. Maximum time of five minutes can be
taken by a team of mime. The appearance and makeup of the artists taking part
in a mime should be traditional (the faces must be painted). There is no specific theme for skit and mime
but the performances should not be contrary to the ethical values. Topic for
Dumb Charade will be given on the spot.
The final rounds of
Skit, Mime and Mono-Act will be held on 24th Jan. after the Opening
Ceremony on Centre Stage. The final round of Dumb Charade will be held on 26th
Jan. in Centre Stage from 4:00 p.m. onwards. (There will be no prelims for Dumb
Charade)
STROKES:

Sketch & Collage Competition

There
will be individual participation in this event. One Student will participate in
one category only. Two hours will be given for competition. Only white sheets
will be provided to the participant and they have to bring their own medium. Students
should report at least thirty minutes (30 mins) before the competition.
The
paintings, sketches and collages will be judged during the STROKES EXHIBITION on Wednesday 25th Jan and the participants will be required to remain
present during the visit of the judges. Participants have to install their
sheets in the Picture Gallery. Non-competitive exhibits may also be allowed on
the condition of availability of space and relevance.

Rangoli and Face painting
competitions are team events. Each team in Rangoli shall not have more than 3
participants.

For
debate a team of two participants (one for the motion and one against the
motion) should speak on the given topic in Urdu, Hindi, English or Bangla. Each
participant will be given a time limit of 3+1 minutes. One team/participant cannot take part in more than one language. The participants have to speak spontaneously
and no papers or chits will be allowed
at the time of speaking, failing which they will be disqualified.
Topic for Debate : ‘The Crisis of Our Nation is not Economic but
Moral’.
The
participant of JAM (Just A Minute)
will be given one minute to speak on a topic given on the spot. The language
must be either Urdu/Hindi or English.

General
Norms & Values: An overwhelming sense of decency is
required on part of the participants. All performances must be ethically
correct else the organizers hold the right of stopping/cancelling any unhealthy
performance. No place/room will be accommodated for practice. The participants
must abide by the rules and regulations of the event/ category in which they
are participating. The decision of the judges will be final and must be
respected by all with dignity and respect.
